The prompt from kaylashay was Inconceivable. The original request was for Tony and Abby from NCIS, but after chatting with kaylashay it became clear that Gibbs watching The Princess Bride was the real craving. I hope this suits.
This also ended up fitting into Season five of my Home verse. I hope everyone enjoys the look into the future.

Summary: AU but following canon events: A quiet moment at home once our boys are back together.
“What the hell are you doing?”
Gibbs had come into his house to find Tony and Abby filling his living room with a tangle of cables connected to several large objects, one of which looked like the plasma TV from Tony's apartment.
“Pack movie night,” was Tony's answer. Gibbs just glared at him to hide his complete incomprehension.
“Gibbs, you promised you'd be more open to exploring movies, right?” Abby announced, her tone just shy of an order. “Well, we learned you'd never seen The Princess Bride and we thought we'd fix that.”
“Nice excuse for a bit of pack bonding,” Tony added a bit shyly.
“Who's coming?” Gibbs asked suspiciously.
“Tim's bringing dinner, Ziva dessert, and Ducky should be along soon. Jimmy had other plans he couldn't break,” Abby replied.
Gibbs sighed, collapsing into the recliner. “You could have asked first,” he grumbled, crooking a finger at Tony
“Rule eighteen,” Tony replied slyly, stepping away from the tangle of cables and kneeling beside Gibbs.
“I didn't teach you those rules so you could mess with me,” Gibbs said sternly, slapping Tony on the back of the head. But the slap was gentle and his hand stayed, his fingers running through Tony's hair.
“Yes, boss,” Tony replied, leaning into his mate's touch. He knew better than to say 'sorry.'
Abby smiled as she watched them interact. “You gonna help me finish this?” she asked.
“Nope,” Tony said, his eyes fixed on Gibbs. “Probie will do a better job when he gets here anyway.”
“You two are soooo cute,” Abby said, stopping her own work to just watch. “I'm glad you two sorted it out.”
“Me too, Abs,” Gibbs said, smiling down at Tony who was smiling up at him.
The pleasant domestic scene was interrupted when Tim banged through the door, his arms full of takeout bags.
“I got Chinese,” he announced, his attention on carefully balancing his load after the distraction of turning the door knob. “I figured it was a better idea than pizza. There's veggies, so Ducky can't complain so much.”
“Good thinking, Probie,” Tony clambering up, leaving Gibbs' side with visible reluctance, to claim the bags from Tim. “Now go help Abby get the TV and DVD player running.”
“Hey, Abby,” Tim said, walking over and kissing Abby on the cheek as soon as his arms were free. “How much did DiNozzo mess this up before I got here?”
“Hey!” Tony protested.
“He follows directions quite well,” Abby said, blowing Tony a kiss. “We're almost done.”
While the geeks set up the surround sound system that Tony and Abby had schlepped over, Tony began setting out dishes and containers of food on the coffee table. After a minute, Gibbs got up and helped, though how much he was a help and how much a distraction was up for debate with the way he kept brushing up against and bumping into his second.
Ziva's arrival broke up the flirting. Tony and Gibbs weren't as relaxed and open around her. Abby just thought they were cute, and Tim understood pack dynamics from childhood indoctrination. Ziva, on the other hand, was only just being introduced and still shot them disapproving looks sometimes when they got too touchy.
“I have ice cream,” she announced, holding up a bag with several gallons of different flavored treats.
“Put it in the freezer for now,” Gibbs ordered, grabbing Tony's arm before he could follow her into the kitchen. “Dinner, then dessert,” he said pointedly, ignoring the pout he received from his second.
“Poor Tony, so whipped,” Abby said teasingly.
“Natural beta,” Tim said. “What can he do?”
“I don't have to obey,” Tony countered snottily.
That earned him a light slap on the back of the head, which he played up with a flinch and wounded expression.
“I just have to face the consequences if I don't,” Tony said.
That earned him a quick kiss and a soft grin from Gibbs. Abby replied to that with a wolf whistle and clapping. She was determined to encourage her favorite boys any way she could.
Fortunately, Ducky arrived before she could encourage Tony to do anything really outrageous.
“I see everyone is here,” Ducky said, looking around the now crowded living room with a happy smile. “Good choice on dinner, Timothy, though most Chinese food still has a dangerous amount of salt added. You all really must watch your diets more carefully.”
“Not tonight, Ducky,” Gibbs pleaded. This wasn't a night for lectures but for being together.
The last connections were made a minute later and the movie was put on. Once everyone had a plate of food, they settled around the room. Ducky, Ziva, and Tim shared the couch with Abby perched on the arm, showing every sign of probably sliding into Tim's lap before the evening was out. Gibbs reclaimed his spot in the recliner, and when he saw Tony hesitating waved his mate over. Tony settled on Gibbs' armrest for now, and would probably end up on the floor or across Gibbs' lap in wolf form before the night was out. Ziva could just learn to deal with it.
The movie was cute, even Gibbs could admit that. Action, adventure, true love.
Actually, that could be used to describe his life as well. He looked over the people in the room, his people, his pack. Then he looked at Tony, his mate, his second. He had not expected this at this time in his life. It seemed positively, to quote the Sicilian from the movie, inconceivable. And yet, here it was.
Wrapping an arm around Tony's waist, he settled back to bask in the presence of his pack for one perfect evening.
